Brig Gerda is not only the largest tall ship in sailing condition, but the only raw sailed tall ship in Finland. The ship is moored at Poroholma and it is available fall year round. Ship is suitable as a private party venue for up to 60 persons. Gerda can accommodate a total of 40 people.

Brig Gerda
Gerda turns heads both at sea and dock, and no wonder: the 49-meter brig Gerda is not only the largest in Finland, but also the only raw sailed yacht.
Sailing with Gerda is challenging and requires special expertise. The vessel has two 30-m masts and both have 5 sails. Sails, total 15, about 300 plokes, and a total of ropes more than 5 kilometers. All the maneuvers of the sails are relatively laborious operations and to require a lot of hands. Gerdas volume is up to 286 tons. The brig Gerda officially named Gerda Gefle Gävle, Sweden was built in 1995-2005. The ship is a replica of the eponymous cargo sailing ship which was completed also in Gävle 1869. Original Briggen Gerda sailed all the way to the 1930s before becoming a museum ship in Gävle Sweden, where it was destroyed in 1959.
